This week was pretty slow..
last Sunday a branch member told us that we cant go by one of the
recent converts anymore because she is going to the English ward...
even though she doesn't know a word in English. Then we found out that
one of our less actives/part time family is moving to Aloha. so we lost
2-5 of our less actives and recent converts. This area is the hardest area I've had, we feel so isolated from our branch. Although the good thing is that we are going to start eating with them, so that will be a huge
help for us to get to know the branch a little more. As far as the
actual area, it's great, lots of Hispanics to talk to so we can't really
complain.
So we have been passing by and
teaching one of our less actives named Quirino. He hasn't come to church
sense 2005. We passed by yesterday morning and said something to
the effect of " hey come to church!, Its more important than all the
dumb little excuses that your probably going to tell us" and he came with his non member son and he enjoyed it!!
miracle! I was amazed. We
are seeing a lot of good things here in Cornelius, it's tough but we will
still see success. Our branch is really pumped about "the Lords Plan"
and are putting it into practice.
