Loosing people and miracles

This week was pretty slow.. last Sunday a branch member told us that we cant go by one of the recent converts  anymore because she is going to the English ward... even though she doesn't know a word in English. Then we found out that one of our less actives/part time family is moving to Aloha. so we lost 2-5 of our less actives and recent converts. This area is the hardest area I've had, we feel so isolated from our branch. Although the good thing is that we are going to start eating with them, so that will be a huge help for us to get to know the branch a little more. As far as the actual area, it's great, lots of Hispanics to talk to so we can't really complain.
So we have been passing by and teaching one of our less actives named Quirino. He hasn't come to church sense 2005. We passed by yesterday morning and said something to the effect of " hey come to church!, Its more important than all the dumb little excuses that your probably going to tell us" and he came with his non member son and he enjoyed it!! miracle! I was amazed. We are seeing a lot of good things here in Cornelius, it's tough but we will still see success. Our branch is really pumped about "the Lords Plan" and are putting it into practice.

Happy and Sad

It has been really cold up here too but not to bad only about in the 30s. So this area is a little different than others because we only have 4 families here and so we eat with the English people.. I already miss the tortillas, English people are so weird. I forgot how our food was.. I forgot  this until I heard. "so i decided to throw in my own little twist into my mash potatoes and meatballs.. hope you like it"... if your wondering if I'm happy or sad. I say both. The food is pretty good.. but the people are so weird, just awkward but I'm happy, I'm making a bigger deal than it actually is because it was a slap to the face to be brought back into "our culture" of the way we eat. Everyone up here talks different too the Spanish is so much better.  I feel like I went from talking like a red neck, to having to talk like I work in a royal palace which is good because i can learn good proper Spanish. I'm still super pumped and excited.
love you guys lots
